Our core teen art program allows students to become well-rounded artists by shuffling projects across a variety of media and subject matter. One River School’s innovative curriculum inspired by contemporary artists stimulates their imagination and helps them develop essential skills in a fun classroom environment. Digital Art Shuffle® brings fine art and technology together by providing students with the tools, software, and inspiration to make art on a virtual canvas. Student will learn how to use the Adobe Creative Suite allowing them to become well-rounded digital artists.

MEET YOUR TEACHING ARTISTS

Mike 1 425

Mike Koloski

Mike Koloski has been studying digital graphics for over 25 years. He earned a BFA in Animation from Savannah College of Art + Design with a focus on 3D character animation/design and technical direction. He has worked professionally as a graphic designer and illustrator. Mike has worked closely in education both in special education and mainstream classrooms. He is enthused to continue the integration of art and technology. Mike is excited to introduce the next generation of digital artists to the medium.

Damien Torres

Damien Torres is a New York-based artist who has worked on various art projects, from trading cards to comics. Before graduating from The Kubert School in 2014, he got his first professional art job working with Cryptozoic on the card set for “The Hobbit: An Unexpected Journey.” Ever since, he’s worked with publishers like SomosArte, Aspen, Dynamite, and several others. Damien also has credits on Netflix docuseries, “The Family,” as well as HBO Max docuseries, “Generation Hustle.” Damien is the current artist on “The Winchester Mystery House” for Source Point Press, and is an artist for Atomic Mass Games’ “Marvel Crisis Protocol.” Damien enjoys teaching at the Hartsdale location of One River School of Art and Design.

AJ Tignonsini

AJ Tignonsini received his BFA in Design + Animation with a concentration in 3D Modeling at Mercy College in 2020. He's pursuing a Certificate in 3D Animation at WCC (2022-2023). His passion for teaching is rooted in the creative process. Aj's teaching philosophy contains both technical and imaginative perspectives which assist students at any skill level. He believes that to be a great artist, determination is needed to execute creativity. Students will then develop a critical eye and become more inclined to learning new techniques or softwares. Aj is experienced in the animation pipeline from Storyboarding, painting, modeling, animating, all the way to the final render.

More About Adult Art Shuffle® Plus

Intermediate to advanced students can attend our open studio classes to work on projects of their choosing in a variety of media with their instructor's guidance. This class type invites students to take their work at their own pace. Versatile and knowledgeable mentors provide their expert feedback and facilitate friendly group critique. The diverse subject matter and materials our adult students use provides an inspirational setting for them to work and feel at home.

Inside our Teen Studios

Frequently Asked Questions

Our classes are rolling, so you can start at any time! Our teachers will welcome and onboard you to the class on your first day and we recommend that you arrive a few minutes early to make your first class a great experience.

We make it easy to get started, so just bring yourself! High quality art supplies are included with your monthly class tuition. A few exceptions include our photography, video and iPad classes and camps, which require each student to bring their own camera or iPad.

We ask that you attend your weekly classes regularly, because consistency is the keys to developing your skills and building rapport with your teacher and peers.  It also allows you to complete your artworks on time and reflect on the outcomes with the group.  But we understand things come up, so if you miss a class please let us know so we can schedule your makeup class.

Your first month payment is a partial prorated payment based upon your start date. Then you will be billed on the 1st of every month thereafter.

Our weekly recurring classes meet year-round and many students stay with us throughout the summer. If you need a break we recommend freezing your membership and saving a seat for when you return.

If you plan to return within 6 months, we recommend freezing your membership by pre-paying for your returning month. You can set a restart date or get a credit that is valid for 6 months.

Canceling your membership requires an advance notice via our Cancellation Form with one final membership payment. You can attend classes through your final month with us.
